Last Saturday I attended the annual tax updates held by ACCA. The environment for tax practitioners are becoming more & more difficult.
Anti-avoidance section 61A, refusal of claim under contract processing in PRC, etc. too many topics to tackle....
Being a CPA is not as easy as some think. Keeping update with continuing changing standards.
Under such circumstances, I wonder why some practitioners still using cut-throat fees to get jobs. This just makes people has the impression that our works is not worthy & no value added.
Too bad...

Same as lawyer and doctor, CPA also has to keep ourselves up-to-dated...not a easy career ah
ReplyDeleteI think most SME consider audit just as to entertain our gov, they are paying for some "services" but they don't want to pay. Audit fee, in their eyes, is a cost and they just get some kind of "standard" audit report with little use
